Traveling Livestock Media Specialist
About Taylor Fort Sales
Taylor Fort Sales is a livestock media and sales company specializing in professional photography, videography, livestream production, sale previews, and live online sales for the show pig industry.
We travel throughout the United States working with breeders, livestock events, and live sales. Our work is fast-paced, highly specialized, and constantly changing. One week may involve photographing baby pigs on a farm, while the next may include flying across the country to produce a sale preview or help operate a live sale.
We are looking for mature, dependable people who fit the Taylor Fort Sales culture and want to grow into a long-term role with the company.
Position Overview
This is a traveling, independent contractor position involving livestock handling, photography, videography, editing, livestream production, and live sale operations.
New team members will not begin as lead photographers.
Every person will start by learning how to properly set up and present baby pigs for photos and videos. Understanding how a pig should stand, move, and be presented is the foundation of taking a great livestock photo or video.
Before someone can become a successful photographer for Taylor Fort Sales, they must first understand what is happening in front of the camera.
As contractors become experienced, dependable, and proficient in the Taylor Fort Sales system, they may be trained and developed into larger roles, including:
Lead livestock photographer
Livestock videographer
Photo and video editor
Livestream production specialist
Sale preview operator
Live sale production team member

Training and Advancement
Taylor Fort Sales has a specific style, workflow, and standard of quality.
Previous photography, videography, editing, livestock, or livestream experience is helpful, but it does not replace learning the Taylor Fort Sales system.
The right applicant must be:
Coachable
Humble enough to learn
Comfortable receiving direct feedback
Willing to repeat a task until it meets our standard
Interested in continuously improving
Patient enough to learn the fundamentals before advancing
Motivated to grow into a larger Taylor Fort Sales role

Travel Expectations
Travel is a major part of this position.
Contractors may travel by both vehicle and commercial airline throughout the United States.
Applicants should expect:
Frequent overnight travel
Multi-day trips
Long driving days
Commercial airline travel
Hotel stays
Early departures and late arrivals
Changing locations from week to week
Occasional last-minute schedule changes
Working in barns, farms, livestock facilities, sale venues, and temporary production environments
Carrying and transporting luggage and production equipment
Taylor Fort Sales is based in southwest Oklahoma, but applicants are not necessarily required to live in Oklahoma.
However, applicants must be able to travel reliably and affordably to assignments. Depending on the location of the contractor and the assignment, travel may begin from southwest Oklahoma, a regional airport, or another agreed-upon location.
Applicants should understand that living a significant distance from southwest Oklahoma may affect which assignments are practical.
Schedule and Flexibility
This is seasonal contract work.
The workload is very busy during peak sale season and considerably slower during the offseason. Hours and assignments are not guaranteed.
During busy periods, contractors may work several long days in a row and travel frequently. During slower periods, there may be limited or no available assignments.
The livestock industry changes quickly. Weather, animal readiness, customer needs, travel problems, and sale schedules can all cause plans to change.
We need team members who can pivot.
The right person must:
Maintain reasonable availability for travel
Communicate scheduling conflicts clearly and early
Be flexible when an assignment changes
Handle canceled flights, delayed schedules, and last-minute adjustments calmly
Avoid becoming frustrated when the original plan changes
Understand that flexibility is a core part of the job
Be willing to step into different responsibilities when needed
This position is not a good fit for someone who requires the same schedule every week.
Equipment Requirements
Taylor Fort Sales provides the professional cameras, lenses, and primary production equipment used on assignments.
Contractors must provide their own reliable, high-performance computer capable of editing professional photos and high-resolution video.
The computer should be able to handle demanding photo and video editing software without creating delays in production.
Applicants should also have:
Reliable internet access at home
A dependable smartphone
Access to email, text messaging, and shared scheduling or production platforms
The ability to safely transport and protect their personal computer while traveling
Reliable personal transportation when required to reach an airport, meeting point, or assignment

We are willing to train the right person. Attitude, character, work ethic, and culture fit are more important than arriving with an impressive résumé.
Company Culture
Taylor Fort Sales operates as a team.
We work long days, travel frequently, solve problems under pressure, and depend heavily on one another. The quality of our work matters, but so does the way we treat our clients and teammates.
We are looking for someone who:
Shows up prepared and on time
Does what they say they will do
Takes responsibility for mistakes
Accepts correction without becoming defensive
Communicates directly and professionally
Maintains a positive attitude during long or difficult days
Helps the team without constantly being asked
Treats clients, animals, teammates, and equipment with respect
Keeps private company and client information confidential
Understands that no task is beneath them
Wants the entire team to succeed
Can have fun while still knowing when it is time to work
Represents Taylor Fort Sales well in public and online
No-Drama Expectation
Taylor Fort Sales is a professional, team-oriented environment.
We do not have room for gossip, cliques, unnecessary conflict, constant complaining, passive-aggressive behavior, or personal drama that interferes with the work.
Travel and long workdays can be stressful. We need adults who communicate clearly, address problems directly, and continue treating others with respect when they are tired or under pressure.
This does not mean team members cannot ask questions, raise concerns, or disagree. Healthy communication is encouraged. Problems should be handled honestly, privately, and professionally.
If someone regularly creates tension, avoids accountability, brings personal conflict into the workplace, or makes the job harder for the rest of the team, this will not be the right fit.
